I was born into the family of Mr and Mrs Maxwell Aaron Alalibo in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.
My late father, Maxwell, who hails from Ke Town, in Degema Local Government Area, Rivers State, Nigeria, was a humanitarian, and Civil Servant who attained the apex of public service as a Permanent Secretary in the Rivers State Civil Service before his retirement. My mother, Daba, was an astute business woman and also a humanitarian before her retirement.
I had my Primary education in the heart of the State's municipality, at Port Harcourt Primary School, a distinguished institution at the time. I also had high school education at the Government Vocational Training Centre (GVTC), Port Harcourt, where I majored in Painting and Designing.
Shortly after my high school career, I ventured into farming, which, in addition to my training as a Painter and Designer, later announced me early in life in the business world. This was, however, after I had first acquired a Bachelor's degree in Sociology at the renowned University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), in the present day Enugu State.
After my graduation from UNN, I went into business full-time in both Painting and Designing, as well as livestock farming, specifically, poultry. I was able to build my business from grass to grace, recording relative success in a short while.
The business not only broadened my scope in service to himanity, but also increased my experience in human relations, which enabled me to combine business with my passion for service to the people. This was what, in fact, led me to politics.
As a result of my versed experience in human relations, I was appointed by the then Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Tonye Harry, as a Returning Officer of my party in Degema, my Local Government Area, and later as Deputy Community Representative in Degama.
I also served as Personal Assistant to the renowned Professor of Jurisprudence, Alswell Osini Muzan, in his legal firm.
I am a committed Hindu, but it doesn't affect my consideration for the existence of other religions. As far as I'm concerned, all religious organizations are equal before our Creator, and hence reserves the right to coexist, to the extent that the one doesn't constitute nuisance to the other, and society at large.
I am married to Rosetta Max-Alalibo, and the marriage is blessed with two boys.
My Move To US
After a successful public service career in Nigeria, fortune smiled at me again with a move to the United States of America with my family to start this phase of my life, which had accorded me opportunities to further pursue my innate zeal to serve humanity at whatever level I can.
For this purpose, and to earn a responsible living on arrival, I took up employment with a retail store (Family Dollar Store) as a Floor Associate.
Later, moved by that burning desire to contribute to the development and growth of society, I decided to equip myself further by going back to school to study Corrosion Technology at Houston Community College, and concluded in record time. This was followed by another stint as an employee with The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD.
Shortly after, with what can easily be christened a twist of faith, enhanced by the passion I have for public service, I got involved in politics at Fort Bend County from the grassroots, where I served my Community through creation of awareness on the importance of community participation, election and voting rights.
This effort turned out to be instrumental to my election as Precinct Chairman, and subsequent appointment as Election Judge for two years. Since then, I have been doing my best to continue to serve the public the little I can anywhere I find myself.
It's for the same reason I come this day to seek the support of my constituency, District 27, to seek their support to be their State Representative in the forthcoming election.
Among others that may arise on the exigencies of the moment, my focus will also be on Brownfield Redevelopment, Development of More Psychiatric Emergency Centers for easy accessibility, and Housing with Health in mind.
I'll initiate a program that will enable psychiatric specialists to learn advanced skills and become Board Certified in order to have them employed by public and private schools to work alongside teachers and police officers.
Their presence will, among others, help reduce bullying, identify children with emotional and behavioral challenges, and teachers with overbearing behaviors.
In terms of security and safety for the populace, I'll give priority attention to have parents of minors being investigated for negligence and recklessness for heinous crimes committed by their underaged children with deadly weapons, while also working with the Sheriff Office to improve on safety in the community.
I'll also give more attention to education and capacity building, which are very important in creating and enhancing safety and development in society.
